Transfer Information

To support our students on their arrival in the UK, SBC offers a shared transfer service (at an additional charge). We recognise that our students’ summer school experience begins when they leave home, and we want them to arrive in the UK feeling safe and excited for their time at Summer School.   

Our services are available to and from Heathrow Airport and St Pancras during set times on arrival and departure days.  

For students attending Earlscliffe, we offer transfers to and from Heathrow and Gatwick Airport during set times.

When booking your flights, please note that we only provide supervised transfers for Heathrow Airport and St Pancras Station. At Heathrow Airport on arrival day, flights must arrive between 6am and 5pm. On departure day, flights must depart between 11am and 6pm. At St Pancras station trains must arrive between 10 am and 12 noon and depart between 12 noon and 2pm.

Students will be transported to the school using one of the following services:  
Staffed Private Coach, Staffed Minibus, Staffed Taxi. The mode of transport will be determined by the number of students arriving on similarly timed flights and heading to the same school.

Transfer Service Details

When a student arrives, an SBC staff member wearing a bright yellow t-shirt will be waiting to greet them and they will be accompanied to our Welcome Club. At our Airport Welcome Club, they will have the chance to meet other students arriving, have some light refreshments and relax. After a little rest, students will be accompanied by students and SBC staff to board the coach/taxi and be taken directly to the school.

Booking Deadline: 28 days before the course start date.

At Heathrow Airport we have staff to meet students for flights arriving between 6 am and 5 pm and on departure between 11 am and 6 pm. At St Pancras station we have staff to meet students arriving on trains between 10 am and 12 noon and depart between 12 noon and 2pm.

Students aged 15 and over will be transported to the college using one of the following services:
Private Taxi (Unstaffed), Shared Taxi (Unstaffed) or a Minibus (Staffed). The mode of transport will be determined by the number of students arriving on similar-timed flights and heading to the same college.

Students aged 14 years and under will be transported to the college using one of the following services:
Staffed Taxi or a Staffed Minibus. The mode of transport will be determined by the number of students arriving on similar-timed flights and heading to the same college.

Transfer Service Details

When a student arrives, an SBC staff member wearing a bright yellow t-shirt will be waiting to greet them. Once all students whose flights are booked at a similar time have arrived the staff member will escort the students to board their transport to college. The mode of transport will be determined by the number of students arriving on similarly timed flights and heading to the same college. When the students reach the college staff members will be waiting to meet and greet them.

Booking Deadline: 28 days before the course start date.

Your weekly fee includes return transfers to/from London Heathrow and London Gatwick for flights scheduled to arrive/depart between 9am – 3pm on published arrival and departure days.

At Dublin Airport we have staff to meet students for flights arriving between 9am and 5pm and on departure between 11am and 6pm.

Students on our paid transfer service will be met at Dublin airport by a dedicated SBC member of staff who will coordinate their short transfer from the airport to the school with our approved taxi service. Please note that the taxi journey may be unstaffed but where possible shared with other SBC students. On arrival at the school your child will be met and welcomed by our summer school staff.

If students require staff member assistance with transfers they must be booked to arrive or depart at Heathrow or St Pancras at the above stipulated times.

For any exceptional circumstance, trains or flights outside of these times or from another London airport, please discuss these with your Admissions Manager before confirming travel details and booking tickets.

Flights must be booked on the arrival and departure dates so that all students can arrive and depart the course at the correct times.
