Summer Boarding Courses Business Programme

Our summer Business programme has been designed for the young business people of today, and the industry leaders of the future. The courses focus on developing business skills, business knowledge, and leadership. 

All of our business students will participate in assignments and projects, which will develop an understanding of how businesses work in practice. These projects culminate in the students’ design and presentation of their own product and start-up company.

Learning English Through Business

Summer Boarding Courses’ Business programmes are designed to teach the English language through studying Business. In these courses, English language and Business tuition are integrated together, so that knowledge of both subjects is improved at the same time.

Our Business programmes have the following four objectives:

  • Content: Improving the knowledge of Business
  • Communication: Studying through a communicative and collaborative approach to learning, with the aim of improving English language proficiency
  • Cognition: All courses at SBC focus on developing 21st Century Skills, such as critical thinking skills, collaborative skills and presentation skills.
  • Culture: All courses include the cross-cultural benefits of studying in a multi-national environment

Time to Shine

As part of their two-week programme, students get to participate in two exciting group presentation projects called “Time to Shine”. For each project students are provided with a research assignment connected to the modern world of Architecture. Here, students work together to develop their research and leadership skills, before presenting their findings to the school. By taking part in Time to Shine, students are given the chance to tackle real-world architectural challenges, refine their design expertise, and master the art of effective communication.

Everything about our Time to Shine projects is designed to enable students to develop valuable 21st Century skills, such as collaborating, leadership, critical thinking, and presenting. Enabling students to develop an in demand skill set that is attractive for future employers.
